SCENE REVISION PROMPT: CHANGE THE LOCATION

To make a scene more interesting, move it to an unusual location. Far too many scenes take place in restaurants, bars and boardrooms. Shift yours to a swimming pool, a skiing slope or a storage shed, and the reader’s interest will perk up.

If the scene is based on a planned meeting, think of ways how you could force them to relocate at short notice.

What if the executives had planned to meet in the boardroom as usual, but a burst water pipe makes it impossible, so they have to gather in the laboratory?
